Due to the changing advice from the Government, our local council has reached out to us to ensure we are safeguarding both customers and the team here at Gastall Dog Grooming.

As such we have updated our operating policy slightly and would ask all customers to re-read through our policy and abide by our Covid implementations. This will help us to ensure you and we are at low risk of transmitting or contracting Covid-19.



We are not currently required to offer a Track & Trace system, as we already hold personal records and can Track & Trace via those if necessary. However, we do ask that you please update us of any customer contact details if they have recently changed.

If any of the below reflect your circumstances, we ask you to reschedule your appointment:

  • If anyone from your household has symptoms

  • If you have had any contact with anyone who has symptoms

  • If you have travelled outside the UK in the last two weeks, where quarantine is now imposed

We politely request that you drop off and pick up at the time advised by your groomer, as we are now governed by strict hygiene rules between grooms and running a tight schedule. Turning up late for your appointment or collection, may result in appointments being rescheduled and a late charge added to your account. 

Please Note; Our cancellation policy will not apply to those in quarantine or self-isolation.


On Arrival:

Masks should be worn when attending the salon with only one adult in the salon at a time. Children are exempt from these restrictions but are expected to abide by the other policies of the salon.

We provide hand sanitiser for your convenience within the shop area of the salon and ask that you use this upon entry. Please remove all leads, collars, harnesses etc, and take them with you. Please be patient if you have to wait to enter the salon if a customer is already on sight and exercise the 2-meter rule.

Dogs are to be dropped off into the shop area and we ask that customers close the safety gate behind them and remain behind the safety screen and dogs must be collected from behind the screen.


We are no longer taking card payments and ask customers to now pay via BACS transfer, prior to the collection of their pet. When BACS is not an option and CASH is not avoidable, we ask that customers try to give the correct amount as we will no longer be offering change. Though any overpayments can be added to your account.

The Team: 

Please be assured that we have always used virucidal cleansers on surfaces between grooms and we adhere to the professional standards of daily disinfection. All dogs will be taken straight to the bath and washed upon entry. All team members at Gastall Dog Grooming will be wearing face masks and the relevant PPE at all times.
